Remember in “The Lion King” when little Simba is cornered by hyenas in the elephant grave yard? Well in that moment when He is face to face with the enemy, an ounce of courage begins to rise; and in a moment of ridiculous bravery, he opens his mouth wide and roars, and the voice of a much bigger lion, His father, comes bursting forth. Thinking that it was him who had roared so fiercely, Simba begins to laugh with courage and joy at the look of terror on the hyenas faces.
When your in a place where the enemy has you cornered, wither that be cornered by lies, fears or insecurities, and you find yourself in a jam, the Holy Spirit, alive and dwelling within you gives you the courage to stand up against them. And in an amazing moment of surrender, when you let the Holy Spirit take over, a fierce lion roars powerfully, sending the enemy running in terror. So I encourage you to stand against the lies the enemy has been speaking into you ear, turn your eyes upon the Lord and in one crazy moment He will send them all fleeing! Be lead by the Spirit! Let Him pour out of you, not as a slow trickle, but as a rushing river!
“….But the righteous are as bold as a lion…”
